User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.9) Gecko/20050711 Firefox/1.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.9) Gecko/20050711 Firefox/1.0.5 This is happening with multiple sites, ever since upgrading to build 1.0.5 - did not happen with previous builds. When I open new tabs the browser crashes completely. Reproducible: Sometimes
Do you have any extensions installed? Try starting in Firefox Safe-Mode or disabling all your extensions and see if this still occurs.

I have the same problem. Crashes when loading multiple tabs, experience in 1.0.2, 1.0.4, and 1.0.6. Reproducible: Not through a specific recipe. Experience, e.g., by middle- clicking on multiple links from the www.independent.co.uk website. The browser "loading" multiple pages seems to be associated with the problem, i.e., opening the links one at a time, or loading them from the cache is less of a problem.
William, bugzillamozilla05, Start Firefox Safe-Mode with version 1.5 - does the problem still occur?
Safe-mode is not really an option for investigation of this issue, as the problem only occurred during extensive browsing (which I am not prepared to do without Adblock, e.g.). I am happy to say, however, that since 1.5.0.3 , stability has much improved, and I have not had a crash recently.
Marking as WFM. Please submit talkback reports if you get more crashes, or if you find a reproducible crash, file a bug.
