If I check any of the pages at http://www.bigsoccer.com, firefox often (25% of
the time) reports an error "Illegal Operation in Plugin (Mozilla ActiveX
Control)" and recommends I restart Firefox. If I don't restart firefox it will
often end up crashing.

Reproducible: Sometimes

It happens on several different computers in different physical locations, on
different networks and with different themes/extensions of firefox (though all
are running the latest firefox (1.0.4). One of them has the default
configuration of firefox 1.0.4 installed and the error occurs just as often.
This happens to me quite often too, but only since 1.04.

This page: http://www.bluelocust.com/nokia/ is another example.

I am getting this exact error,

bigbrother.3mobile.com.au is another website, particularly when you are doing
quizes.
I haven't seen this bug since I upgrade to firefox 1.0.6
WFM agree with comment 3.

Please reopen if you still see this in a trunk build or current version.
