When sending large emails, less-technical users (despite training otherwise)
lack the ability to "alt-tab" to other running applications while their large
email uploads to the servers (in our case, IMAP and SMTP).

Though plugins exist for hiding the 'Sending message' box, the actual message
window remains. The Outlook method feels more clean; when you hit send, the
message is moved into an 'unsent messages' folder, and from there you can
initiate a 'Send unsent messages' action (shoot and forget). In addition, since
outlook lacks the ability to 'Send unsent messages every XX minutes' (or does
it?), maybe Thunderbird could implement that automated transmission
functionality too?

Reproducible: Always
