When I choose to write new e-mail it enters the Evolution e-mail client and asks me to set it all up from scratch. Then once setup my Evolution is empty as a new app from scratch, yet my evolution in my menu is unchanged and still full of my e-mails.

Could you please explain how the summary relates to comment 0, why this is filled against mozilla.org - webmaster and why you believe this is a bug relating to a mozilla application? evolution has nothing to do with mozilla.

Forget evolution, it might as well be Mozilla Thunderbird. The fact is that is that the e-mail option does not open the existing e-mail client but rather opens a setup of it, which you must reconfigure from the beginning. Perhaps this isn't a bug. If it's not then it's a seriously weird feature.

(In reply to comment #2) > The fact is that is > that the e-mail option does not open the existing e-mail client but rather opens > a setup of it, which you must reconfigure from the beginning. What email option? mozilla.org (the website) underwhich this is filled doesn't have any email options that open email clients.
Am I not being clear enough? Or was I forwarded to the wrong place? I'm using Deer Park Alpha 2 Under tools there is a Read Mail function and a new message function. This is what I'm referring too. I use evolution in Hebrew, so it could be that when Deer Park searches for a client it searches for an English one. I don't get it. I'm on Linux by the way. So if I log out and then change the language to English evolution is also in English. So I don't understand why Deer Hunter would not find an existing default e-mail client.

prob. invalid are you sure this is a Firefox bug and not a Evolution bug. What happens when you have another e-mail application that is already set up and is the default e-mail client?

Firefox 2 and future versions don't have a read mail menu item or a toolbar icon.
