Here is another Web site displaying the same behavior: http://www.pantesting.com/ The checkboxes in the questionnaires they provide do not work with Firefox either.

I can confirm this Bug. to be specific the check boxes not recognised are the pay grade selection boxes when applying for a job. After my initial complaint here was the response from the Navy. "Hello Lee, The problem you are encountering could be one of a couple of different issues. First off, please ensure you are using Internet Explorer. This is one of the most common reasons for getting caught in this pay plan/grade "loop". Another possibility is that it is caused by a missing or invalid field in one or more sections of your resume. Please review carefully each section, and make sure there are NO BLANK boxes, and no invalid characters in the respective fields. As a guideline, follow the examples provided by each field and enter them exactly as required. When finished, try submitting your resume again. What to Avoid Do not use signs and symbols such as % # * = or other bullet symbols. Use @ sign only in the designated E-Mail Address Block. When adding dates use / instead of -. Do not place alpha characters in fields that normally hold numeric characters. Also, ensure that you've selected at least one Geographic Preference in part 7 (Additional Data Sheet) of your resume. Please try using Internet Explorer or update your browser to the latest version. We've had reports from users that some older internet browsers are unable to support this page. New versions such as Mozilla Firefox do not support this data. You must use Internet Explorer, if you are still experiencing difficulty, please contact your system administrator or your Internet service provider. Thank you, and good luck in your continued pursuit of employment with the Dept. of the Navy. Thank you," then I snet the following. "I'ts impossible to use Internet Explorer in linux. Why would you force a user to use an unsecure browser like Internet Explorer? Lee G. Weaver lgweaver@gmail.com" and tehn this was the last form the navy on the subject. "ood morning. Unfortunately, without using Internet Explorer, you will continually be caught up in the loop of selecting a Pay Plan and Grade. The CHART site, itself, is a secure site. You may want to make arrangements to visit your local library or Internet Café in order to successfully apply. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you. Thank you, and good luck in your continued pursuit of employment with the Dept. of the Navy. Employment Information Center DON Chart Webmaster/cjm https://chart.donhr.navy.mil" Hopefully the Firefox team can figure out the trouble and alter firefox to work I am alos goint to copy the source code in question to a file and attach that.

This is a simpler test case than the previous one. It appears to demonstrate that the bug in Firefox has *been fixed* in the version I'm using (1.5.0.7). This is a good thing; it was definitely a problem in earlier versions.
