Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Using right click and "save image as" repeatedly locks up Firefox. It appears to
be utilizing more memory with each save and each save operation gets slower
until there's no response. Saving the same images using IE is faster and does
not lock up. I've tried multiple sights and differnt images but the result is
always the same.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. right click image
2. select "save image as..."
3. repeat
Actual Results:
browser ges slower and eventually locks up then must be killed using task manager
Expected Results:
not slow down and not lock up

Possible dupe of bug 251380
Can you please test a nightly build (such as deer park alpha 2) and see if the
problem still occurs as firefox 1.0.6 is rather out of date (only security fixes
for the past 6 months)

This does indeed seem to be a duplicate of bug 251380. I tried park alpha 2 but
as strange as it sounds, I couldn't get a navagation bar to show up even though
it was checked. I tried unchecking it and re-checking it but still not bar to
enter an HTTP address. SO I could retest.

Sorry to sound stupid, but what's a test profile?

The role of profiles and how to create a new profile is described here:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile
Sometimes settings or installed extensions from older firefox versions can cause
a newer version to misbehave. So just create a new profile for testing this bug.
symptom on any website, also removed firefox completely and reinstalled
lets say this is confirmed please...
