When I try to open html document from (say) disk file, it opens in new windows,
although I have "Links from other applications" set to "New tab in current window".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create some html file.
2.Press enter on it in any file manager (Windows Explorer is just fine)


Actual Results:  
New window was opened with my file loaded.

Expected Results:  
Create new tab in existing window and load file into it.

I've found bug 299444 which says "resolved, fill new bug if it happens again".
So I did.
I'm also seeing this in 
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050705
(zip build)

when opening local HTML files (from Windows Explorer) or
when opening http:// links from Thunderbird.

You need to test with builds from 2005-07-12 on to see if it is a new bug (bug
299444 was fixed on 07-11).

Doh. Sorry. Retested with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050721, seeing
identical behaviour to that described in comment 1, with or without a new
profile (if that makes a difference).


Now WFM with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050731
