User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050715 Firefox/1.0.6 SUSE/1.0.6-2.1
Build Identifier:

Regression in 1.0.6. Try to click on one of 4 main news links at top of page
(ie. one with picture or the three with short abstracts on the right. All other
links seem to work. This function worked in 1.0.4.

Could be related to bug# 284635. Preferences in Firefox 1.0.0 were imported
from previous mozilla suite where "load links in background" was on. However,
this switch has been removed from Firefox.

No problem under Suse linux and WinMe, however, preferences were never imported
from mozilla suite.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open www.canoe.ca
2. Try to ctrl+click on one of 4 main news links at top of page (ie. one with
picture or the three with short abstracts on the right
3. Sidenote -- all other links seem to work

Actual Results:
No response from ctrl-click

Expected Results:
Open link in new tab
Are you using tab browser extensions? Some earlier releases of this extension
were broken in Firefox 1.0.6, please try either updating the extension or using
safe mode if that is the case.
No tab extension was used, however the "download sort" extension was still on an
older version 2.5.0 instead of 2.5.2, which wasn't detected by the firefox
updater. Updating manually to the newest version fixed the problem. However,
it is strange that this extension broke the tab behaviour.
