I came across a similar problem when installing "Firefox" but can't remember now how I got round it!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download "thunderbird"
2.Double click on the .DMG file on the desktop
3. "Voila"
Actual Results:
The warning window described above.

Expected Results:
Installed!
This bug is old and the disk images it was originally reported against were produced using the crusty old packager. Even so, errors like this are almost always caused by a truncated or otherwise corrupted download or a problem with the DiskImages framework on the end user's computer. Marking WFM because this type of thing really hasn't been a problem since the new packager landed - a year ago. If you have trouble with disk images of Firefox 1.5/Thunderbird 1.5/Gecko 1.8 or later, open a new bug and Cc me.
