There is a resource URL for the user license in the about: page now, URL looks correct but the link does nothing. Non-resource URL's work, this one does not. marking beta1, as user cannot visit the license yet.
checked in beta workaround, relative link works. removing beta1 keyword.
We've worked-around the broken license link with a relative URL, resummarizing for the general case.
I don't understand this bug. The logo is a resource url (resource:/chrome/global/content/default/logo.gif) and it loads ok. I need a test case or something.
the act of clicking on a resource: link doesn't work. you don't have a test case because we worked around it! A test case would be to change the license URL to a resource URL, I'll attach a patch.
opening to non-netscape people. attaching patch

The securitymanager catches this link ... nsScriptSecurityManager.cpp line 508.
Off to Norris. What should the rules be about loading about: urls from other pages? From resource: pages, it should be ok, but I'm not sure what else.
Norris is out this week... and we need to cut the M15 checkpoint. This problem does not seem to be a stability problem, so I'm pushing this to M16.
