301848 - Clean install of 1.0.6 successful EXCEPT for display of Mozilla Update pages

I've successfully installed FF 1.0.6 and all 20 extensions are working so I'm
quite happy.  However, strangest thing.  The Mozilla Update page does not
display properly.  There's a raft of threads in the Mozillazine forum. I waded
thru 10 or so without seeing a definitive answer just lots of speculation. So I
decided to open a bug.  I tried all the standard workarounds (disabling cache,
manually deleting files in profile cache file, etc).  And note, the 1st thing I
tried after installing 1.0.6 (before any extensions intalled) was the Mozilla
Update page and it failed then too. And as reported on Mozillazine by many
folks, the site does render properly on other browsers. (In my case, Opera
8.01).   I realize it's a BETA version, np. Just would like to hear from the
experts that this is a known bug that is caused by the site and not the browser.
I will then open a thread @ Mozillazine referencing this bug.

I see resolved as duplicate. thx just want to add addtl info.
Installed DP A2.  Vanilla from customer links:

Mozilla Update page renders properly.  Also, started
DP A2 with my 1.0.6 custom profile (really nice that it told me the 5 of my 20
current extensions that aren't ready for prime time yet btw). Again, Mozilla
Update page renders successfully.

Bug 301354 workaround is valid for 1.0.6 : about:config, NEW, String,
general.useragent.override,fakeentry and MOZILLA UPDATE now renders completely.

Whatever you folks did (Apache http 304 patch?) resolved the problem for me.
Reverted back to useragent 1.0.6.  FF 1.0.6 now renders like Opera 8.01.
