In a page with frames, if there is a large image that is bigger than the screen
(img-tag) and no with/height attributes, no scrollbars are shown for the frame.

only if you choose "view only this frame" and then go back, you see the
scrollbars. after this, you see the scrollbars everytime (on this page).

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to a page with some frames with a large image in one frame

Actual Results:  
no scrollbars

Expected Results:  
scrollbars, if the size of the image is bigger than the area of the frame

perhaps it works...err don't works for you (the first time i saw this page,
there was no horizontal scrollbar in the right-bottom frame.
if i have some more time, i'll try to get a better example.

I see both scrollbars with that example. Have you tried firefox in safe mode
just to rule out any extensions you may have installed?

weird... if i open the posting on the original website, (sometimes) no
horizontal scrollbar is shown, but when i try to rebuild exactly the same
situation on a local webserver, it works.
furthermore, the bug seems to appear not for all images...

perhaps this works for you: 
1. go to http://th.gamigo.de/BaseA.htm
2. click on the "Test" link (left frame on the bottom)
3. search for "Maddin" in the main frame
4. click on the posting "test (Pic)" of the first result

for me, there is no horizontal scrollbar. the image (you must scroll a bit so
see it) is 1600px wide.

after clicking this posting some times, there is a horizontal scrollbar... if
you restart firefox, the bug appears again.

Tried 10 times with no problem. Did you try in firefox safe mode
(http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) as I requested?

yes i tried, but the bug appears in savemode, too.

after your comment, i tried to reproduce the bug with the mentioned website, but
now the scrollbar appeared every time... i cleared the cache, but i wasn't able
to reproduce it :(

No way to reproduce, and the reporter is unable to reproduce, resolving as WFM.
