301922 - Signed e-mail not readily apparent

When receiving e-mail that has been either signed or encrypted digitly, the
'pen' icon indicating this fact is only visible when expanding the "Header" box.
 I'm asking for an enhancement that would also display the 'pen' icon when the
"Header" box is not expanded.  Or perhaps having an icon available for display
(a user option) along with the other options in the e-mail 'listing' window.

This should be considered as an enhancement to both Mozilla (SeaMonkey) Suite
and Thunderbird.  I previously reported this as a bug (265442) which I have
cancelled.

it'd have been better to change the severity of that bug to enhancement instead
of filing a new bug

anyway, signed mails do show an icon in the statusbar, does this not happen for you?

I believe the severity *IS* enhancement.

Yes, it does show in the status bar - mixed in with the other and very small. 
Sometimes hard to see.  If it were in the 'listing' box along with other options
it would be immediately seen.  At present you have to hightlight a message and
either remember to check the tool bar or open the header window.

Apologies to Christian and all others.

I misunderstood his previous message.  I now understand that I should have
changed the severity of bug # 265442 rather than cancelling it and opening a new
one.

I don't know why I didn't do it that way - the only excuse I can possibly offer
is old age. (-(
