Details

On several sites jpg images weren't displayed. This includes for instance
www.excite.com (try to change your image in the upper right corner), and also on
www.amazon.com with some images.
There is only the 'alt' text shown, sometimes overlapping with other texts
Severity: critical → major
Can you display any jpeg images?
Do you have libjpeg.so.62 installed?

There is a known problem that the tarball is
not including the jpeg library. If you have libjpeg.so.62
installed on your machine, you should be fine.
If your version is old, you may need to manually make the
symlink to it. Be aware image quality may suffer due to
api changes.

The jpeg library should have been in the tarball. A bug has
been filed on this.

dupe of 31196, need the file in tarball
