Post install, Browser opens but cannot find any url. Also will not close. Must re-start

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Mozilla Firefox V1.0.6 Prior version uninstalled prior to install. Install seems normal. Browser opens, but looks, and looks, and looks for url (never finds). Window closes, but app is still running. Had to re-start to uninstall. Three tries, fresh download each time, same result. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install Firefox 2.open browser 3.Try to close (fail) 4. re-start Actual Results: Exact same result. Even after deleting the folder left after the uninstall. Expected Results: Expected browser to work at least as well as prior version 1.0.5
Do you use a firewall which allows/disallows internet access for specific applications? It seems that the fw doesn't recognize the changed FF and blocks access. Verify that the firewall is not blocking the new version.

Original reporter, do you still experience the same problem? Did you follow the steps in comment#1? Have you tried a more recent build of Firefox?

Please use a recent version of Firefox, available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/, and report back with your results in relation to this bug report. If this problem can be reproduced, please reopen this bug report. Due to age/lack of response, closing. (bug cleaning)
