I get notified that there are available updates. Firefox searches for updates. I
then get displayed a dialog with a list of available updates but it is empty.
The option to "Install Now" is activated. If you choose to install, the program
goes into a loop since there are no updates in the list to install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check for available updates
2. List of available updates is displayed (but empty)
3. "Install Now" is activated. If you click it, program seems to loop - it is
doing something under the covers but nothing ever happens.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Firefox/1.0.4

I see this too. I think it is because aus.mozilla.org is not contactable at the
moment.
Confirmed, This happened to me too. I tried several times over the course of 4
days to download critical updates but the box is empty, even though 'Install' is
enabled.
Looks like this is a duplicate of bug 290550.
