User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050725 Firefox/1.0+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050725 Firefox/1.0+

I have a long list of sites that I'm blocking images from. An example is
eur.a1.yimg.com. When I visit a page loading an image from that site, the image
still appears. If I right-click on it and choose to block images, all it does
is enter it in the image block site list with Allow rather than Block.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to a site where images should be blocked according to your settings.
Actual Results:
The images weren't blocked.

Expected Results:
Blocked the images.

I have upgraded to trunk from 1.0.6.
Since you updated to trunk from build, can you please try this using a new
profile and see what the behaviour is? It might be an
update-firefox-but-use-same-profile bug.

It works with a blank profile so it is an update-firefox-but-use-same-profile
bug. I have looked in hostperm.1, and the format doesn't look to have changed.
Can you try 1.0.6 with no extensions, and than update to trunk ?
My guess it's an extension causing it

I tried with a brand new profile, launched 1.0.6, blocked some ads in Yahoo,
closed 1.0.6, loaded DP, and the same problem occurs, so I don't think it's due
to extensions. Would be interesting to see if someone else can replicate it.
Could it be that it is showing images already in the cache?
Anthony, can you reproduce it with the latest Firefox 2 or 3 build?

If not, please resolve the bug as WORKSFORME.

Thanks!
