Then when the page is Published it does not correct the path to the bacground image file... The path is still for the local path so only the person that published the file gets to see the background image. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose a background image. 2. Create a webpage that uses that image. 3. Post/Publish that webpage so other can view it. 4. Using a PC that doesn't have the background image saved on it, look at the Published web page... The background image can not be seen because the path for the image is: <body style="background-image: url(file:///C:/my-web-page/backgrounds/checkers.gif on the local drive not the remote server. Actual Results: The background image can not be seen. Expected Results: It should let me set a path for where the background image will be stored on the server... Or when is copies the background image to the server it should fix the path...

Reopening. There's no possible way this could be a dupe. The other bug was fixed in 2003. (Oops.)

Dallas, between step 3 and step 4, after creating and before publishing, do you save the document? In Edit/Preferences.../Composer/ what is your setting for: "When Saving or Publishing Pages/Save Images and associated files when saving pages" ? Can you try your steps to reproduce with saving the document and also with a recent trunk build? "be sure that you've reproduced your bug using a build released within the past three days. Our development process moves at lightning speed, and the bug you've found may already have been fixed." http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html Adding qawanted keyword

No answer, no replies to questions for a month.
This is not a bug. It's a simple matter of saving the images associated with a webpage, linking these relatively to the page location and then uploading the image files (along with webpages) to the hosting server.
Help/Help Contents F1/Content Tab/Creating Web Pages/Publishing your Pages/Publishing a Document/Publishing Tips
says:
"
Tips for Avoiding Broken Links or Missing Images
If your images appear as broken links when you browse a document on the
web server, you may have forgotten to include the images when you
published. Open the File menu, and choose Publish As to display the Publish
Page dialog box. In the Publish tab, make sure you check Include images
and other files and then click Publish.
