User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050712 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050712 Firefox/1.0+ In textareas, the caret is often incorrectly positioned (such as currently, when I'm typing this). This makes form editing very difficult. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the above URL. 2. Type English text in "Details" until the end of the line. Actual Results: The caret gets too far from its correct position. Expected Results: The caret should be just after the character that has just been typed. This problem occurs only with multiline textareas.

Possibly extension related? Does this occur in safe mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Yes, this also occurs in safe mode. In fact, I think the problem isn't related only to forms. A shift in text position also appears in normal paragraphs, for instance on <http://www.vinc17.org/mutt/index.fr.html#emacs>. I've attached a snapshot; look at the right part of the paragraph.
