User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 1. With the addition of the following two things, the whole mozilla.org projects list should be reviewed for reorganization (i.e. some categories/headings no longer relevant considering the current focus on Firefox and Thunderbird). 2. The Mozilla Thunderbird page is listed with a link and description but not the Mozilla Firefox page (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/). 3. From the projects page: "SeaMonkey is the codename for the current Mozilla browser." Not anymore! :-) Since development of the Mozilla Application Suite is being handed down to an mozilla.org hosted independent group, there would be no need to attempt to link to the old suite anymore, but an explanation/description and link to the SeaMonkey Project page (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/) would be appropriate. I think this is a duplicate... I'll try to find it later.

I was about to file a bug about "projects list" and missing firefox therein, too. I'm glad I found this bug otherwise my report had ended up as a duplicate! So I'm confirming this bug. Additionally to adding Firefox to the projects list, I think the "mozilla roadmap" on http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap.html should link to the "firefox roadmap" http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/roadmap.html

(In reply to comment #4) > Why can't I vote for this bug? Maybe they have voting disabled for website-related bugs (?). Also, some of my initial comments were somewhat ambiguous and unclear. Oh, well. I am going to attach a patch to make this harder to ignore longer.... *sigh* It should hold things together better, until someone that knows more than me wants to revamp this page.

The accessibility project also needs to be updated in that page. Let me know in this bugfile what else in that page needs to be updated. CONFIRMING Target: Before December 1st

Reporter (jjrlb), can you 1- identify exactly the chuncks of text which would need to be updated or upgraded and (Actual results) 2- edit the text which would replace such chuncks of text (Expected results) What you can do is to go to the url, click the "Edit this page" link, then make the changes, then click the "Review Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and then copy the gray color background block of text into a plain text (.txt) file and attach it to this bug. That way, I would know exactly what you want to change and this would help me fix the webpage. You also mentioned that "some categories/headings no longer relevant": which ones? Please be specific. You request that the Mozilla Firefox to be listed with a description: can you provide a first draft of such text? Regarding the Seamonkey project, you add: "no need to attempt to link to the old suite anymore, but an explanation/description and link to the SeaMonkey Project page". I sense this is a bit contradictory. Anyhow, can you provide the text that would achieve what you request regarding Seamonkey as an independent project?

This patch contains the submitted changes in attachment 194463 [details] [diff] [review]. I merged the 2 accessibility sections into 1.

The only remaining issue is related to listed but inactive, abandoned projects which are no longer relevant projects. I'm resolving this bug as FIXED. You may reopen if you can identify exactly the chuncks of text which would need to be updated or upgraded (Actual results) and provide the text which would replace such chuncks of text (Expected results).

For clarification, what I meant is that the SeaMonkey project page used to be like the other project pages, but was focused on the browser section of the suite. Now it is more like the other product pages, with links to developer's info. So, there wouldn't be a need to try to link to a page/project that is not as it was. Also, the page is organized into categories based on the old structure of the development of the suite. But with Firefox and Thunderbird being the main focus now, some reorganization would be good. Maybe I'll get around to editing it myself with a major overhaul, but maybe not....
