Details

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050726 Firefox/1.0+ Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Deer Park Help from the Help menu. Result: "Welcome to Deer Park Alpha 2 Help" appears in the main pane but isn't selected in the sidebar. This is disorienting and inconsistent with the Preferences window.
Well, if you go back/forward in the Help Viewer you will also notice that the sidebar does not select the currently viewed article/help entry, that also sucks.
Same with hitting the Home button.

Hardware: Macintosh → All
Summary: When opening Help, "Welcome to Deer Park Alpha 2 Help" should appear selected. → current page isn't highlighted in the Contents sidebar

I'm bumping up the severity on this, because it's a rather glaring bug if you haven't gotten used to the current, broken behavior. Furthermore, it will be a good bit easier to fix once bug 320628 is fixed, because with that fixed all page loading code paths will be in one of around four methods in help.js.

Not going to block on this, but will happily accept patches up to beta2. You know. If they're safe. :)
