Clicking on update tab gives AUS: Update XML File Not Found (404) and has a
manual update url, THis takes me to a page that it says I am forbidden to see.

Nice catch 22 :o)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Help 
2.Check for Updates
3.Click Manual update URL

Actual Results:  
Got a page forbidden

Expected Results:  
Opened an update page

I am guessing this Deer Park. So no default specified url for the alpha. RESOLVE
INVALID.

Yup. The update system is not activated yet (we're testing with a modified URL).
That's why it's called an alpha release.
