have a 5 button HP optical mouse. the scroll option does not work in firefox,
but works perfectly fine in IE. all buttons works execpt the scroll button.

Reproducible: Always
Maybe a new driver is available?
You could also try if there is already a built-in driver present on your OS, but
in that case probably only the basic functions will work (including wheel
scrolling).

I have this problem as well. I believe I have the same mouse (HP 5 button optical). It works in every other application. In Firefox the only thing it will do is autoscroll. It won't scroll with the wheel. Anything happening with this yet?
I have the same problem. HP optical 5 button mouse P2351AA

I have downloaded the latest drivers but I cannot get the screen to scroll. Works fine in all other applications (i.e. IE, word excel etc.) seems to be a firefox bug.

Please help.
I have the same problem as well. Same mouse also. Driving me crazy using IE till this gets fixed. Also reported to Company that provided drivers.
Does this happen still happen in a current build? (latest release, or latest trunk?)
It happened in the most current build available at 2007-01-19. Which is fairly recent. I have not updated since then but the problem still persists.
Do you still see this problem using Firefox 3.5? Please update the bug, and close/alter bug if appropriate.

No reply, INCO. Please reopen if you are seeing this in Firefox 3.5.2 or later in Firefox safe mode and a new profile with the latest plugins.
