Hello,
I'd like to be able to search my history. I surf a lot of sites and often need
to return to one of them, but don't have an inclination to needlessly add to my
several-hundred-plus bookmarks. A facility to just search my browsing history,
perhaps similar to the one to search bookmarks, would suit me just fine.

Thank you!

Reproducible: Always

Seamonkey beta on Debian unstable i386

I've also searched for this bug and underway found some other bug which deals
with saving the history along with each tab in a session state, but that's an
entirely different feature request, inho.
Tools-Search History...?

I've retried with build ...27 (this is ...18) and a completely new profile and
no extensions whatsoever, and I can't see the menu entry you claim to be there.

It is there, many people see it, i do, too. Maybe your profile is horked?
BTW: That menu entry only exists in the History window, not in the browser window.
To comment #3: One of us may be stupid, but I wrote: "and a completely new
profile" in my comment #2, and I re-checked with again

- a fresh extraction of seamonkey AND
- a clean slate profile (ie, I just moved my normal profile out of the way
before trying),

and there is neither an entry in the "Tools" menu in the top bar, nor any entry
in the history pane in the side bar. I also don't get a "history window" proper,
and wasn't able to move the history side bar to a window or tab. But when having
activated the history pane in the side bar, there still isn't any search menu
in the pane proper, nor in the header bar (where you can eg. select the columns
to be displayed), and also nothing in the main menus has been modified.

So, where should I look?

I attach an image of my "Tools" menu and checked that it doesn't change when I
have the History pane selected in the side bar.

There isn't any sensible thing to catpure in the "History" pane so far :|
no, the tools menu in the history window.
whatever, re-resolving again and do not reopen again.

I'm apalled at how you want to handle the issue but leave the issue closed, but
I don't have any "tools" menu in the history pane. The one I posted a screenshot
for is the only one I have, and (as already stated more than once), with a clean
profile, too.

If you don't want to have bugs reported, I can stop it.
