This problem took me quite some time to figure out, but here I go. To reproduce: - Send a mail from mozilla to you mail account - Sendt a mail from Netscape 4.72 to your mail account - Read the mozilla mail with Mozilla. See attachment 1 [details] [diff] [review] - Read the Netscape mail with Mozilla. See attachment 2 [details] [diff] [review] The problem: Under the To: there are a blank gray area. This seems to be cause be the first mail(mozilla mail) showing the User-Agent info in this field. Moving to the Netscape mail the gray area doesn't get deleted and the display of the mail is getting wrong. Hope you see the problem...

The problem only shows when moving from a mozilla mail (with the useragent info field) to a non-mozilla mail (without the useragent info field)
So the problem is that we still have the extra toolbar (if that's the right name) for the User-Agent header, even when the message doesn't contain the User-Agent header? Reassign to mscott. We're going to have to figure out the whole View|Headers feature in beta1.

beta2, I mean.
The problem is not which headers to show or not! The problem is a mail layout bug, caused by showing the User-Agent info in Mozilla generated mails.
good deduction, Henrik! I've seen this too.
Summary: Going from a Mozilla sendt mail to a non-Mozilla sendt mail shows incorrectly → Going from a Mozilla sendt mail to a non-Mozilla sent mail shows incorrectly
I fixed this on Saturday. We no longer display the user agent string in the UI. So that entire toolbar is now gone. There's still a bug out there that evaughan owns where boxes weren't properly being resized to 0 if all of it's contents were hidden. (That's what was going on here).

henrik - can you verify? Thanks.
Actually I think the problem was never what I described. I still have the problem where I can see part of the other mail. I think it must because of the bug that mscott describes.
