The drop-down menu links at http://www.cclonline.com/ work as expected for
simple clicking, but context-clicking or clickign with a  modifier key doesn't work.

I completely disagree.
Surely the whole point of tabbed browsing is that on a site like that one, I can open several pages in tabs, eg browse hard drives AND monitors, etc. 
If I can neither modify-click nor context-click in the menu, how can I do this? A feature of Firefox is thus broken.

True, but it would seem that cclonline don't want you doing that. I can't get the ideal behaviour in any browser: move to Tech Evang?

Is this working better with other sites ?
Is this working better in any other browser ?

This is still reproducible, the behavior is different in Edge.
