The scroll element in the page is a div with a style overflow:auto that cause a
blink for each image loaded in the bottom of the page.

Idem for Netscape 7.1
The problem doesn't exist in Internet Explorer 6 ad Opera 8

This has been fixed for months on trunk, please test with a nightly trunk build
