Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pt-BR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050720 Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-1)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pt-BR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050720 Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-1)

When typing the slash "/" to enter a search term, the search field appears. That
is OK. But, when typing and accent or a letter that uses accent, it don't
display the letter! It just ignores it.
For example, typing this:

/ blablaá

To do the "a" letter, I type ' follow by a. But when pressing ', it just ignore
this.
The only different letter that I can press and it appears is ç (using an ABNT2
keyboard).
My system locale is pt_BR if it helps.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type "/"
2. Enter the search term

Actual Results:
Letter with accent aren't displayed.

Expected Results:
Display correctly all letters!

Using CTRL+F it opens the same search bar below, but with one difference, the
accents are all displayed and everything works perfectly!
Just one thing that I have missed.
This Firefox that I am using is from Debian, but getting a pristine Firefox
results on the same error.
