I have noticed that there are many other bloggers with this same problem, so it
is not just me. The background colors/background jpg dose not appear using
firefox browser whereas ir dose with IE and other browsers

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
View site on IE / then FF can not miss the giant white space

Works for me in 1.0.6 and 1.0+.

Do you have "Always use my Colors" checked in Fonts & Colors?  For me, when this
is checked, it kills background images :(

Doesn't annoy me too much, but a friend likes to force hyperlinks to be a
different color when he has visited a site, regardless of what the stylesheet
says.  This works, but kills BG images in the process.

I have similar problem, I installed 1.5  priorly i had 1.0.7 instead of doing a fresh install i updated it,  now any websites with background images i cannot see it on FF 1.5 , it even broke my IE , the sites are good in netscape 7.0 and opera 7.0, I couldn't revert to 1.0.7 as it didn't work when 1.5 was uninstalled and 1.0.7 was installed on the same location.

Finally i installed 1.0.7 on a different drive and i can see the website using 1.0.7 but not with 1.5. As suggested on irc chat on firefox chat room i installed 1.5 on a different drive /folder i couldnt get it working either.

I am experiencing this problem also.

Background colors and images are missing when browsing with Firefox.

I am using Finnish language localized version of the latest 1.5.0.4 Firefox, but this problem has been around for quite a while.

I tried to do a complete uninstall, deleted all the directories created by Firefox, did a registry clean up, reinstalled Firefox -- makes absolutely no difference. The problem is still there.

Linux version seems to unaffected I experience this only in Windows XP.

No reply, INCO. Please reopen if you are seeing this in Firefox 3.5.2 or later in Firefox safe mode and a new profile with the latest plugins.
