Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

I'm new user to Firefox, recently installed and although I'm on LAN connection
the Dialup box keeps interrupting my web browser. I cancel it and seems to work
then about 1 minute later, here it comes again. I know in IE I could cancel if
connection exists, but cannot find this tool on teh connection tab under the
options...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Seems to happen continually while Firefox is running. No keys or pattern
other than time
2.
3.

Actual Results:
If I cancel the browser continues to work, but the window pops up again and
again and if it's during a download it can take a few minutes for it to appear.
 Meanwhile nothings happening...

Set Dial-up properties to Never Dial.
I get this as well a lot. When the dial up connection dialog pops up, I can view it in task manager, click goto process and it's firefox that comes up.
There are no Dial-up properties to set in Firefox's tools/options/advanced/network tab. This problem seems to be rampant and is a serious flaw.
I've experienced this problem with Sprint Mobile Broadband.

No other program does this. It happens even when I don't have the broadband card plugged in.

How to reproduce:

1. Connect laptop to LAN
2. Open Firefox
3. Browse the web
4. Dial-up connection window appears at random
5. Close the window, Firefox resumes using LAN connection
6. Go to step 3

This is a serious pain in the ass.
This bug seems to be more common with those web pages that take some time to load. I have noticed this is common when connecting with servers that are either slow, or very far away. There should be several options to control the Dial-up Dialog box. One should be able to completely disable the dial-up box, or, if desired, put a time out number as part of the dial-up box option to allow the web page to load. If a part of the web page is received, then the clock would start from zero, allowing a very slow connection time to allow each part of the web page to load. Only if there was zero download for the specified period of time (from 1 to 30 seconds I would think) would the dial-up box appear.

This is not a normal bug, but a serious bug, that seems to have appears in a recent version of Firefox. The efforts of anybody with the skills to fix this bug would be greatly appreciated.
