I searched the database _before_ going to the bother of creating an account and
filing this bug, but did not find it. However, when I created this account and
went to file the bug, there it is, at number 2 in the dupe list! This has wasted
my time, so, in the interests of not wasting anyone else's time, and cutting
down the number of dupes you receive, may I make a suggestion: REPORT this and
any other dupe with more than, say, 10 dupes somewhere prominently on the page:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/bugs#duplicates

I checked whether this bug had been reported by clicking the 'Installer' link on
the above page, and did a search for 'desktop icon' but it looked like the bug
hadn't been reported! I think this might be why you're getting so many dupes.

The bug, BTW, is 245392 - and it's getting old now, don't you think? Doesn't it
looks a bit dilatory? As someone who promotes the great work you people are
doing and has converted many IE users, I want to see FF succeeed.

Please do NOT open new bugs when you know there already is one. It's completely
pointless.
