If you upgrade to a new build of Mozilla, a duplicate quick launch icon is created.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download any new build from the website
2.Quit existing build of mozilla
3. Run the install program
4. Program completes and launches Mozilla.
5. Quicklaunch now contains two icons.
Actual Results:
Duplicate Mozilla icon

Expected Results:
Check to see if a quicklaunch shortcut was already installed.
Do you mean with "2.Quit existing build of mozilla " that you also quit Quicklaunch?
Does number 2 mean that you uninstall Mozilla Firefox, or exit Mozilla Firefox?
If you install Firefox twice, I wouldn't be surprised to see two quick launch icons.
Stephen: He's talking about Mozilla btw :), not about Firefox (Firefox has no
quicklaunch integrated).

I just upgraded to 1.7.11 and the bug is still there. To clarify previous
comments, I'm talking about "only" Mozilla. If you have an existing install of
Mozilla and then download an updated version, it installs an additional
quicklaunch icon in the toolbar (bottom left side of toolbar for most XP users).

It seems this bug is still there. So let me start again.

I have an installed Mozilla version 1.7.12. I also have a quick launch icon for this.

I find there's an upgrade to 1.7.13. I download the installer, quit Mozilla and launch the installer. After the new install is complete, my quick launch toolbar now contains two Mozilla icons.
Irrelevant now, as turbo mode has been removed in trunk?
m964,

As comment 2 suggested it, it seems that you didn't uninstall the previous version before installing the newer one.
I think this is an unsupported use case.

MozillaAS v1.7.x is not supported anymore.

(Would have been "Incomplete", now is) R.Invalid

Reopen if you can reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9.
