User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 When closing a window with no tabs (just the one), the warning box about closing windows with multiple tabs appears. It shouldn't. This behavior occurs when another Firefox window does have multiple tabs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Window 2. Create new tab 3. Open second window 4. Close second window Actual Results: The closing window with multiple tabs warning appears. Expected Results: Close the window. This happened on 1.4 too, I never tried it on other versions but I bet it has the same behavior. I've only confirmed this bug on Windows platforms.

Works for me. Does this happen also if you run Firefox in the safe mode or with disabled extensions? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050729 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005072905

The problem goes away in safe mode. How do I selectively turn off (or on from safe-mode) extensions, to track down the culprit? I looked under help and on the FAQ but didn't see how to do this.

I figured out that the problem goes away if I disable the "Duplicate Tab" extenion, version 0.5.1. I have filed a bug report for the extension (#11146 at bugzilla.mozdev.org). I guess this bug should be closed.
