User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050727 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050727 Firefox/1.0.6 I'm on a laptop and my touch pad has a left-right scrolling section at the bottom of the pad. I'm constantly accidentally hitting this which is causing firefox to go back 1 page(sometimes more) It was an annoyance before but after what happened just 5 mins ago.. I can't stand it anymore and will refuse to use firefox again for a while. I was typing out an email and went to hit send.. and accidentally hit that special spot on my mouse pad and back 1 page I went.. I hit forward to find the email I spent 30+ mins working on was completely GONE. PLEASE!!! add the option to disable this feature! Reproducible: Always

AFAIK this is a feature of the trackpad drivers. On my laptop this can be disabled in the trackpad drivers. I don't think this is something that can be controlled by firefox.
If that were the case why doesn't it happen with every web browser? obviously there is some code someplace other than the driver that's causing this. Perhaps GTK if it's not firefox? I don't know. I don't know how it could even be GTK tho being how/why would they hook-up that sort of functionality? Only logical place for that sort of hook-up is in Firefox. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I like the side scrolling function of the touchpad. I hate the go back/forward function that's done in Firefox.
