I just upgraded from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 to test this, and it is working for me, on Windows 2000. (And it was working with 1.0.5 before the upgrade.)

Possibly extension related. Do you see this in safe mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Hi I just added myself to this record. Yes, it does fail in SAFE mode. I migrated from Netscape 7.x to Firefox/Thunderbird for business reasons and I would like to have the same happy experience(s) in Thunderbird. The links to the outside world from inside a mail are indeed "dead". According to the info my version is 20070326 (2.0.0.0) Can I get an action plan please? Thanks and regards, expat83

There are oh so many dupes of this. The cause is that some default browser reg entry is hosed (for unknown reasons). Reset your default browser (may have to set some other browser in between, then firefox again).
