User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

In the page at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8770173/ Firefox doesn't seem to know
where the advertisement should be placed. The advertisement flickers both above
where it should be and where it should be. Result: can't read the ad, and can't
read some of the news article. Screen size change does not fix. Adblock does
not fix. Scores of bloggers don't know what to make of it (I've searched and
searched for a fix!) I'm not a real computer-guy, so you might not be able to
get much more detail from me.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Follow news links in http://www.msnbc.msn.com/
2.Eventually you will get a link with an out-of-control flash anamation ad.
3.Can't read advert, can't read part article above it.

Expected Results:
From the threads I've read this may be related to how Firefox places objects on
the screen? I expect that an advertisement that is supposed to be between text
should stay between text, and not flicker uncontrollably causing the reader to
not be able to understand the advertisement and not be able to read the article
presented on the web page.

I did change themes (from Noia 2.0 Extreme to Doodle Classic) to try to stop the
problem, but that did not fix it.
Tested on Win: Firefox 1.06 and Deer Park alpha 2
Result: WFM.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050730
Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005073006

WFM (although i recall seeing a simular bug)

Could you attach a screenshot of the misrendering to this bug?

Also if possible could you test in a current trunk nightly version avaliable from:
ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk
