When running Thunderbird with the automatic Junk deletion turned off, which I
tend to do while traning the filter, I end up with my junk mail mixed in with
the normal mail.

To get rid of the junk mail, I have to manually scroll through the list of
messages (since junk is often date-stamped randomly, just looking at the most
recent screenful or so isn't enough), and hunt them down. Each message then has
to be control-clicked to add it to the selection. Once I have all junk mails
selected, I can drag them to my junk folder for storage and later inspection.

This takes a lot of time, and since all the mails are already marked by
Thunderbird, I just want to say "Select All Junk Messages", so that I can then
(ctrl)click and drag any one of them to move them all.

The closest thing to accomplishing this that I know of right now, is to sort on
the Junk header, since that groups the junk together for easier selection, but
that is a bit messy for the following reasons, in my opinion:

1. It changes the sorting order, which then has to be reconfigured as it was,
requiring that I remember how that was.
2. It still can force me to scroll, if the number of junk messages is very
large, and do shift-click to select the end of the range.

So, a command under Edit/Select/All Junk, preferably with a keyboard shortcut
assigned to it, would speed this process up considerably, while also improving
over the current method of doing it.

Thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a folder with many (at least tens) of messages marked as Junk, mixed in
with ordinary non-junk messages.
2. Attempt to select only the Junk, for manually deleting it or moving it to a
storage folder.
3. Notice that there is no quick way of doing so.

Expected Results:
It should have provided me with a menu command, on the Edit/Select sub menu, to
allow the quick selection of all messages marked as Junk in the current folder.

You can delete them wihtout selecting first with the entry in the Tools menu.
Selecting them to move to another folder is indeed not yet possible. The easiest
solution is to sort first on junk-status (this might be hidden in your
folder-view, click on the right-most column first). Or you create a special
view-filter that only selects junk (there's a default one for non-junk, but not
for junk).
This could be easily patched, but I really don't see the need to add more UI
bloat to the View menu in the search bar; and this can be easily done with the
ways that Jo mentioned.
