This is a duplicate of bug 295045 and should be marked accordingly.
Firefox has well-documented problems with applets... the best way to minimise
such issues to use JRE 1.5.0+.

The JRE version used is:
Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
So then the problem is something else as bug 295045 and it should thus NOT be
marked as duplicate

I'm not 100% sure about it.... Maybe, but maybe not.
I "could" be.
In that case it can be easely tested if bug 286717 has solved, by visiting the
URL mentioned above.....
Thanx for comment.

Unfortunately, when the browser "freeze", Talkback is not triggered. Talkback
only starts when the browser crashes. So this problem maybe has nothing not to
do with FF itself, but with the OS (it works on a Linux platform I understand....)
Anyway, thank you very much for you info!!

WFM
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060317 Firefox/1.6a1 from cvs -safe-mode
No hang or crash.
Is it still the same page?

Indeed. The BUG does not occur anymore. Maybe the content of the site has changed...
