Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; fr) AppleWebKit/412.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/412.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050802 Firefox/1.0+ The folder name after "All files downloaded to..." is a link that is supposed to open the folder. For instance, if I set my download folder to be "/Users/me/Downloads/", clicking this link is supposed to open the Downloads folder. On Windows, it works fine. On a Mac, Firefox opens the parent folder (in this case /Users/me/). If I set my download folder to the desktop, it will open my home folder instead. If I set it to /Users/me/ Documents/Downloads/ it will open my Documents folder. However, files are downloaded to the right location. Tested on Windows with Firefox 1.0.6 Tested on a Mac with Firefox 1.0.6 and the latest nightly build (2005-08-02) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Download Manager 2. Click the link after "All files downloaded to..." Actual Results: Firefox opens the parent folder (/Users/me/ instead of /Users/me/Downloads/). Expected Results: Firefox should open the real destination folder (/Users/me/Downloads/ and not /Users/me/).

(In reply to comment #1) > Related to/dupe of bug 299882? Bug 299882 is about the textfield in the preferences window that is not correctly updated. However, I am talking about the link in the download manager. That link will always open the parent folder instead of the folder (will open the home folder instead of the desktop). This bug also occurs with a brand new profile, so it is not linked at all to the fact that I changed the preferences in my opinion.

Works for me. Firefox 2.0.0.4 and trunk 2007061504 mac. I do see the parent directory shown, but that's because I have the column finder view. The first column is the parent directory which highlights the actual download directory. The next column is the download directory. That's just how Finder shows files/directories in column view.
