30315 - selection of profile name and directory crashes moz 14

I have a fresh install of build 14.  When I tried to start for the first time,
I got the create new profile screen.  I selected next, changed the profile
name to "wadeh", then selected "change folder", then entered a directory
/home/wadeh/.mozilla (which exists).  (BTW, I had deleted the previous
registery file before this.)  Upon selecting OK, mozilla crashes.

I tried this 4 times and each time it crashed.  Just accepting the 
defaults works fine, setup the registery and started mozilla.

System info:  RedHat 6.1 with latest updates, 2.2.14, Toshiba T8000
              laptop, 1024x768 video (neomagic chip set), 128M, lots
              of free space, 56K connection
