Although this bug/omission seems to have been reported for PCs and although some
say that shift-delete works to remove individual items from the history sidebar,
I can't get that or any other key combination with delete to work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open sidebar for history
2.Hilight URL
3.Press delete
4. Item still there

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
Item should be gone
This should be working after the landing of bug
271496. I had to hold down on the selected entry, then press delete to delete it
in the sidebar (since clicking it will just open it and not really select it).
Scott please try a trunk build from
ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk as this appears to
have been fixed on the trunk (as per comment 1)
Thank you for the responses. The key is holding the selected url down so that a
contextual menu appears. Then select delete. It would probably be better to
allow selection without going to the site (use double click to go to site) and
then permit delete. That is the standard way of doing things. That's how Camino
does it, for example.
