User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050719 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050719 Firefox/1.0.6 I'd expect the (+) button in the title bar or the Window->Zoom menu entry to resize the window to the full size of the screen as nearly every other application does in MacOS X. Firefox resizes the window to about 5/6 of the screen width. If I then resize the window to use the full screen by using the handle in the lower right corner of the browser window the behaviour of a fully zoomed window is lost and I experience the problems found in this defect: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218214 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. close firefox 2. open firefox 3. click on the green (+) button in the title bar Actual Results: the window was resized to the full height of the screen and about 5/6 of the screen width. Expected Results: the window resized to full height AND full width of the screen.

Reporter, you're originally a PC-user, right ? The green button on the Mac means "zoom to optimal size", not "full screen". This normally means that the window will use the height of the display (if the page is longer than the height). But it doesn`t necessary mean that we`ll use the full width, we`ll also have to take the aspect ratio in account. See the discusssion inbug 237404. See also bug 232919 for a further refinement (we still don't do it correctly). I`ve duped it against that one, because bug 237404 is already closed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 232919 ***
