User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

There is no UI where one can tell Firefox where to locate the cache, neither
does it tell where the cache IS located. As there are reports about the cache
not beeing clear correctly, I'd like to check for myself and maybe do it
manually, but therefore I must know where the cache is.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Menue Tools...
2.Options...
3.Privacy...
4.Cache...
5. And there it is! Or, it isn't, but missing: A possibility to tell Firefox
which directory to use for caching.

Actual Results:
Well, nothing.

Expected Results:
Give the user a possibility to tell Firefox which directory to use for caching.

used default theme, did not crash, also appeared below Win XP.
You can change the cache location using the
"browser.cache.disk.parent_directory" pref in about:config.

Verified. This is one of the things that were removed from the Firefox GUI to
make it simpler for common users. Advanced user have the about:config page where
they can configure these things.
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
PS: it does report the location of the cache in about:cache, just like Netscape
1.0 did a few centuries ago.
