User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050514 Debian/1.7.8-1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050514 Debian/1.7.8-1

Mozilla won't start up a second time. When the ~/.mozilla/appreg and
~/.mozilla/pluginreg.dat are deleted, the application starts up agin, but all
preferences are lost.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla
2. close the application
3. Start Mozilla

Actual Results:
no opening window, no output on console (no segfault/whatever messages, no hang,
immediatedly returns to console)

Expected Results:
the application should start
Can you try if this also occours with a official build from mozilla.org?
Summary: Cannot start Mozilla when ~/.mozilla/appreg or pluginreg.dat exsits → Cannot start Mozilla when ~/.mozilla/appreg or pluginreg.dat exists
Me to, always. But is is sufficient to delete ~/.mozilla/appreg.

My home is on a nfs-dir?

Suse 10.0 , Mozilla 1.7.13
I don't have ~/.mozilla/appreg on Seamonkey 2.0a1pre/Fedora 8, it seems obsoleted.
wontfix due to being obsolete in SeaMonkey 2.0a1pre (where current work is being done) and in that SeaMonkey 1.1.x is our stable branch, and any change that would fix this would be too risky.
