When the ~/.mozilla/appreg and ~/.mozilla/pluginreg.dat are deleted, the application starts up agin, but all preferences are lost. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Mozilla 2. close the application 3. Start Mozilla Actual Results: no opening window, no output on console (no segfault/whatever messages, no hang, immediatedly returns to console) Expected Results: the application should start

Me to, always. But is is sufficient to delete ~/.mozilla/appreg. My home is on a nfs-dir? Suse 10.0 , Mozilla 1.7.13

I don't have ~/.mozilla/appreg on Seamonkey 2.0a1pre/Fedora 8, it seems obsoleted.

wontfix due to being obsolete in SeaMonkey 2.0a1pre (where current work is being done) and in that SeaMonkey 1.1.x is our stable branch, and any change that would fix this would be too risky.
