User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

If Firefox is already open, links in email messages work correctly - that is, a
new tab is opened for the link as set up in Firefox. If Firefox is not open,
clicking on a link fails to launch Firefox and nothing happens.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure Firefox is not open.
2. Click on a web link in an email message.
3. Firefox will not launch.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
Firefox should have launched and the web site for the link should be shown.

I do not recall this problem occuring in earlier versions of Firefox, such as 1.0.4.
Try setting IE to the main browser then setting Firefox as the main browser. See
if that works.
-> works for me Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20070604 Minefield/3.0a6pre ID:2007060405 [cairo]

If you still see this in a recent release like Firefox 2.0.0.4 please check if Firefox is your default browser.
