Actual Results: The list box momentarilry opens and then closes Expected Results: Kept the list box open
This is not a general problem, but rather something due to the circumstances created by the site you use as home page. The search box on Google's site has focus after loading the page. When you click on the down arrow, the search box still has focus which makes the dropdown collapse again. That shifts focus to the dropdown list which is why subsequent clicks do work. If the focus goes back to the search box, you'll see the same issue. It also happens when I just surf to Google's site. So I assume it's an issue on sites that auto-focus an element. I don't experience the same issue with about:blank as home page Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050804 Firefox/1.0+
