RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 300689

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050804 Firefox/1.0+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050804 Firefox/1.0+

When Firefox is minimised another window should receive focus. If Firefox is
minimised using the taskbar no window has focus according to the taskbar. If
Firefox is minimised using the minimise button in the title bar then Firefox
still appears to have focus according to the taskbar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.minimise firefox using the taskbar or minimise button in the program title bar.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Firefox or no windows end up with focus

Expected Results:
If another window is visible (i.e. not minimised) then it should get focus. I
believe the window to get focused is supposed to be the window with the next
largest z-order value.
Also applies to Thunderbird.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041206
Thunderbird/1.0 Mnenhy/0.7.1 ID:2005080305
I see the same problem. Also when there are windows applications (like Notepad
or Paint) involved.

When I first open Paint, then Firefox, next minimize Firefox, Paint will appear
unfocused.

When I first open Notepad, then Paint, next minimize Paint, Notepad will appear
focused.
See Bug 303497.
Thanks Ria. If only they'd used the summary in comment #3 of bug 300689 because
I know I searched for minimise (minimi actually) and focus for this bug. Then I
would have found that bug. Marking this as duplicate of bug 300689.
