Middle click does nothing. This is very likely to be caused by MultiZilla. See: http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10967 It's fixed in MultiZilla v184.108.40.206a (for Mozilla 1.7.x) and the latest MultiZilla nightly (for the trunk/SeaMonkey 1.0a). If the reporter of this bug does not check back, I think it is safe to mark this one WORKSFORME.
I installed multizilla 220.127.116.11a in 1.7.8 Uninstalled 1.7.8 Reinstaled 1.7.11 The problem was gone. It was as pointed by Jens Hatlak , comment # 2, due to a fixed bug in multizilla.
No Mozilla bug.
