Actual Results: the prited page looks...not good :)
Hard to say if this is valid or not. It seems like the settings you use should always apply. If you want to use a background color for a site, then why shouldn't you be able to print with that background color? The suggestion was made on IRC that we have tickbox on the colors options dialog for "use these colors when printing", but that adds UI-bloat...

I want to get this fixed for Firefox 2 -- it's a ridiculous situation for high contrast users.

I could not reproduce this with Firefox 1.5.0.4 or with trunk. Please reopen if you test with one of those and it's still broken for you.
