User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 This website has figured out a way around the popup blocker. Its not consistent, though it happens 8 times out of 10. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just load the webpage. 2. 3. Actual Results: A new instance of the browser is opened. Expected Results: Blocked the page.
Popup is blocked on my 5 hours old homemade trunk build - a pre-beta firefox 1.5 version. (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050805 Firefox/1.0+) So this site seems to bypass popups in firefox 1.0.x. You can either : - live with it - wait and use firefox 1.5 beta / 1.5 official when it will be released. But this is not a firefox bug ;) -> INVALID ?
This is probably bug 176069
